New Website, New Logo, New Focus

If you visit this website often, you may have noticed that it looks a little different. Well, I have decided for a few reasons to move away from WordPress and hand-code the site. I feel that it makes it feel more organic, as well as improving its compatibility (try loading this up in Dillo, I dare you). The project also has a new logo, which I designed to look less corporate than the 2022 logo.

However, the biggest change to X-Industries is its purpose: it is now a project, in the same sense that GNU and suckless.org are projects (although I doubt X-Industries will make nearly as much of an impact); and it now has a loosely-defined philosophy that incorporates minimalism, functionality, and the ability to break its own rules as three of its core tenets.

Old, unmaintained, and less than fantastic software has been removed from the X-Industries Codeberg, and new and superior projects are being drawn up; and maybe — just maybe — X-Industries will work.
